You may also be excited, even if you are confused and unsure what to do next. In this time of high emotions, it is important to take a moment to breathe. You have some time to make this decision. In the meantime, it is good to explore your options and become well-informed so that you are best equipped to make the decision that is right for you.

During this process of learning and making decisions, it is helpful to have people around you that give you much needed support. You can invite these people into this process and ask for their opinions. While these people care about you and want what is best for you, they may be influenced by their own fears or anxieties. This is an important decision, so you need to trust your gut and be able to make a decision that you can feel good about.

You may ask your boyfriend to share what he thinks about the unexpected pregnancy. He will have his own thoughts and opinions that may be important to hear. However, even though your boyfriend has his suggestions of what is best, you are the one who gets to make the decision. You should never feel pressured into a decision because you think it is your only option or because it is what someone else wants.
